Decoria Painting in Trigg – Internal and external painting of two storey brand new high set home built by Brewer Constructions – one of Perth’s boutique building companies.
The residential house painting project in Trigg was completed by our very own professional Perth painters who worked along side other tradesmen in order to allow for a smooth and timely completion of the entire property. The first stage was to paint all internal ceilings of the home using a Graco Electric Airless Sprayer to achieve a nice and even texture of the surface as well as Dulux ceiling paint. Our painters have an extensive knowledge and experience in home ceiling paint application via spraying. Once those areas were completed, we then applied the water based undercoat on all bare door frames and doors where possible to get the good base for subsequent oil-based coats which was applied by hand. Using a quality brush when working with oil-based enamel gives a beautiful and natural finish for the woodwork.
Once the internal ceilings were completed and all walls sealed, other trades then proceeded with the tiling, cabinet installation, further electrical work, etc. In some instances floors are laid down before we start our final coat application but that depends on what the client prefers and how neatly the floor specialists work. What we recommend is to lay the floor (especially timber floor) after the first coat is applied to the walls. That allows our clients to achieve a spotless and pristine wall painting surface as we are able to address all of the eventual marks, dents, chips on walls and frames that are often results of accidents made by timber floor installers and other tradesmen.
When choosing the materials for house internal painting we recommend to use very high performing washable Dulux products. One of the top paints we use is Dulux Professional acrylic paint which is available in various finishes (matte and low-sheen are among the most popular). The shinier the paint, the more washable the surface will be.
For the internal trims we recommend using Dulux oil-based paints as they are far more durable compared to the waterborne paints. The most popular oil-based paint finish is semi-gloss or high-gloss. Both are always more radiant compared to the finished wall and create a beautiful contrast even if we use the same colour for both internal walls and all trims (doors, door frames and skirting boards).
The external walls in the Trigg painting project were finished with a texture coating so the Dulux AcraTax AcraShield was used as an external paint. Other building elements our perth painters had to protect were gutters, fascias, down pipes and other metal structures which form part of the building supportive function.
The house painting final hand-over was conducted once the entire building project was completed so all the paintable surfaces were free of dust and marks which brought the whole Trigg construction project to the next level.
